FALL REMINDERS AND RECIPE:

FALL REMINDERS:

REMEMBER:

  1. Clean your cans before winter
  2. Please bag your trash with increased winds
  3. Please remember put trash out at 8:00am.

TO AVOID CATCHING OUR TRUCK ON FIRE

OR MELTING OUR BINS:

  1. Absolutely no hot coals or hot ash
  2. No lithium batteries (smart phones, tablets, laptops, power tool batteries, power banks)

And in keeping up with the pumpkin theme... Here is my favorite pumpkin bread recipe. Sur La Table and Amazon have great bread pans. Mine is from Sur La Table Enjoy!~

Recipe:

first step:

heat oven to 350 and I use baking spray flour for my pumpkin bread pans

wet ingredients:

blend 3 c sugar with 1 c of vegetable oil

add 3 eggs and 16 ounces of pumpkin puree and tsp of vanilla-mix

in sifter:

sift 3 c flour with 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp ground cloves, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp nutmeg and 1/2 tsp salt

add mixture to wet ingredients-mix

split between two bread pans and you are going to bake for about 1 hr and 5 ish minutes...check with toothpick and avoid opening oven before that.

Home made Vanilla: first step: order vanilla -best prices is by joining a co-op such as Indris Vanilla Bean Group on Facebook this takes a year to cure..so patience is needed. on that site you will find lots of recipes for vanilla, vanilla sugar, vanilla paste. There are so many different types of vanilla beans. second step: you put the vanilla beans in a jar and cover with vodka, bourbon or combination of everclear and distilled water. keep in dark place and shake periodically. and wait..... take your baking to a whole new level.
